I finally have the time lapse video for this piece up on youtube!
By far one the most challenging but greatest experiences I've had with painting. If you've seen my past paintings that relate to fear, you'll know that this is the final product of the painting. I personally deal with the fear of failure as my top fear. So when I was asked to do this painting to go with a "Fearless Living" series, down at Love Gospel Church in Apache Junction, Arizona, I afraid in honesty. I was afraid that I would fail, that I would not be able to meet the standards I wanted to meet or even how I was going to get this done. Not knowing how to use acrylics, painting on a 5x4 ft canvas, and a couple people watching me paint while a huge audience would see it a couple days later. All of this was screaming in my head that I shouldn't do it because I could possibly fail. But I am reminded that I am to live as bold as a lion and that God's perfect love casts out all fear inside me. I did not have the boldness to do this painting, but with each passing week, with each piece I did in the process, God continued to give me exactly what I needed to keep painting. I quickly learned to enjoy this painting and I've become more bold as an artist through this past month and a half. It felt damn good to cover the whole canvas and black out all the fear I struggled with XD
