Goodbye 2016..
I know I talk a lot of shit about you, but I never acknowledge all the good that's happened to me this past year.
it's not much, and this has by far been my worst year yet, but from it I've grown so much.

I've loved and I've lost. I've tried, and I've failed. Gotten knocked down more times than I've stood up. At times thought I had fallen so deep I'd never be able to climb out again. But I have. I've dealt with my shit and come to terms with it. And yeah, sometimes I think too much. And I realize things are bad and out of my control, but it's just something I'm going to have to deal with somehow, otherwise I'll just mess up 2017 and it'll be all my fault for not moving the fuck on.

There isn't much I have to look forward to.. but at least I have something.
This year, I'll turn 17. the age of majority in my state.
Come July, I can move out.
Get a job.
Get a car; travel, see my boyfriend, visit family, get away.
I'll be able to start my transition all on my own without worrying about my mother holding me back.

This year has so much potential for me and I refuse to not achieve any of it because I'm being down on myself. When things don't get better I can't just fucking sit around and complain about it.

I don't usually do new years resolutions and shit, but this year I've gotta change. I just have to. I'm going to try and participate in the 21 day fast my church does for the new year. so for 21 days I have to give up something, and idk what to do so like.. I'm just gonna do a whole lot my dudes

I will make it my goal for the next 21 days to -

Write. whether it be working on stories, or rp's I'm involved in, or songwriting, I want to really crack down creatively and make something I can be proud of that isn't visual art.
To just take care of myself in general. Light a candle and draw for a while. Watch a movie and have a good cry. Eat more. Drink more water. Focus on school this semester. Anything that will benefit me mentally and/or physically.

2016, I won't miss you, but my God you were one hell of a year. You gave me some of the funniest memes I've ever seen. Given me friends, and experiences I wouldn't trade for the world. We've laughed together, and cried together. We've had so many special moments.
Like when I got in that accident with my friends and we drove into a ditch, then sat on the ground playing dungeons and dragons with the cops watching us while we waited for a tow truck.
Or when I got to watch my sister give birth to the most beautiful baby in the world.
Or that time I got butt ass naked in front of some of my closest friends.
Or that time I got put in the mental hospital and I made those two friends who I wish I could still talk to to this day.
You took my virginity. You gave me my first taste of fireball whiskey, and taught me how to fence. You've shown me death, and let me experience the creation of life.
So thank you. Thank you for everything you've given me. Although time is only a concept, I like to think the years reflect a lot about a person.
