I don't know why people compare Red to Ash. Ash has his own good qualitys, and bad ones, but so does Red.Red is cool i know, but don't forget you control him, and ash has some kind a mind on his own.

You're a retard.

Red's done a whole journey only to get to the top of a fucking mountain. Ash has been traveling his 5th Region right now.
Red only has 6 PokΓ©mon. Ash has over 40.
Red has no personality whatsoever. Ash is brimming with life and personality, the latter which he has shown throughout the years.

Go do your fucking researching before making such a pointless statement.

Oh, and Red is DEFINITELY not the best PokΓ©mon Trainer. Give that to a character that at least has personality, jeez.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 9

SpiketheFlamehog In reply to Kyuzeth [2013-10-10 02:31:10 +0000 UTC]

Sorry man, gotta disagree on that. Red's goal was to capture all pokemon and record them in the Pokedex. So technically Red has 151 Pokemon. I guess now that it's 2013 we all know that Red has travelled to regions such as Unova region. I agree with you on Ash though. Red was also only crowned the Pokemon league Champion of the Kanto region, so I guess you're right on him being the best in the world.

Kyuzeth In reply to SpiketheFlamehog [2013-10-10 05:22:43 +0000 UTC]

I DO have a different opinion on Origin Red, who actually has a likeable personality and an awesome Charizard. I simply don't get why people love Game and Manga Red so much and glorify him beyond godhood.

SpiketheFlamehog In reply to Kyuzeth [2013-10-10 05:51:21 +0000 UTC]

True that, I mean he IS supposed to be legendary. But with Ash and all I think it's a good idea that they hadn't already made him champion u know. It'd ruin the adventure if they made Ash like game Red. However, I agree with u on the game version of Red, he shows absolutely no emotions at all.

BlueDiamond43 In reply to Kyuzeth [2012-07-07 05:46:04 +0000 UTC]

Red only has 6? He's a player character, he can have up to 386 Pokemon. Ash always releases his Pokemon. Ash doesn't catch any Pokemon hardly. His whole quest has no point.
And Red actually trains his Pokemon. He was the Kanto Champ, and he fulfilled his goal.
Red > Ash. Red is so much cooler than Ash.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kyuzeth In reply to BlueDiamond43 [2012-07-07 07:08:12 +0000 UTC]

Ash hasn't released a single PokΓ©mon in Unova yet, man. And it's alwyas usually one per Region if he does release one.

That sentence of yours is unclear; you mean he hardly catches any PokΓ©mon. Well, he has 10 Unova PokΓ©mon in rotation. Do keep the evolutions in mind, as these will be registered in the Dex. Red CAN only have 251 PokΓ©mon, seen as he hasn't been anywhere else but the Tohjo continent.

Ash won the Orange League and has placed in the semifinals in the Sinnoh League. Seen as his positions have been rising, he might actually end up in the finals now, win or lose.

What's so cool about being the Champion of a boring region? Red has gone nowhere else, except throw his life away at Mt. Silver, doing nothing at all but stare ahead of himself after getting there. Moreover, Gold/Ethan beats Red in the end, automatically making him cooler.

Red has no personality at all. How can you think a character with personality is cooler than someone without one? That's not possible, man.

It's also a matter of opinion, man. Keep that in mind.

BlueDiamond43 In reply to Kyuzeth [2012-07-09 21:40:12 +0000 UTC]

I'm talking about in general you dip. You obviously haven't played FireRed and LeafGreen. Red can go up to 386 Pokemon. Red went to the Sevii Islands, and what does Ash do? Nothing. Red retired his title to train his Pokemon while Ash aimlessly wanders around wasting his time. Red DOES have a personality, didn't you see the ending for Gen I? Yes it is a matter of opinion fool, and a matter of facts. Red entered the Unova Tournament, and besides Red only lost to Gold and Kris. Ash however lost to many people. Get your facts straight...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kyuzeth In reply to BlueDiamond43 [2012-07-10 06:37:58 +0000 UTC]

Excuse me, but I HAVE played FireRed and LeafGreen; both of them, even. Yes, Red can go up to 386 PokΓ©mon, but can't get over 150 of them without trading with Brendan or May.
The Sevii Islands are underwhelming, aside from the fact that a few rare PokΓ©mon reside there. If Red does have a personality, it's likely minimal. No, I haven't played Gen I, since I started with Emerald, then played LeafGreen.
It's a matter of opinions, yes, but he hasn't solely been defeated by Ethan and Kris; Lyra also beat him and later, Kyouhei and Mei as well. Yes, Ash lost more than Red, but that has given him the feeling of losing. Red must've felt absolutely shattered when Ethan first beat him.
Ash explores different regions and meets all kinds of PokΓ©mon, gaining more and more knowledge about them. Ash may not have captured that many PokΓ©mon, but KNOWS more PokΓ©mon than Red does, also knowing more different kinds of Trainers.

BlueDiamond43 In reply to Kyuzeth [2012-07-10 21:20:42 +0000 UTC]

Red knows as much as Ash believe me, and I don't think Red felt shattered because knowing that there are stronger trainers inspires him to do better. I'm not arguing with you anymore. To me Red will always be better than Ash, yep that's my belief and I'm sticking to it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kyuzeth In reply to BlueDiamond43 [2012-07-11 06:36:53 +0000 UTC]

I'll leave you be and have your beliefs. I'll just have mine and will agree to disagree, okay?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BlueDiamond43 In reply to Kyuzeth [2012-07-16 01:47:54 +0000 UTC]

To be really honest Red is better trainer than Ash. He is more adept and more skilled at Pokemon Battling than Ash is, and because of that he has more knowledge about Pokemon than Ash does. Red has traveled to the Sevii Islands to see Pokemon he hasn't seen before. As of HG/SS, Red is no longer champion of Kanto region, why do you think he did it? He stepped down from being the champion because he would rather explore than stay at the Elite Four. I do admire you preferring Ash, but telling from the argument, you don't know much about Red. You should seriously check your facts about Red from reliable resources like Bulbapedia, and like all player characters, Red is pure hearted, so it wouldn't really matter to him if he lost or not. To him Pokemon isn't about brute force. So yeah Red is on Mt. Silver because he did everything he had to, but all he could left was just sharpen his skills. Red would make an amazing tale wouldn't you agree?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kyuzeth In reply to BlueDiamond43 [2012-07-16 07:51:02 +0000 UTC]

Alright, thank you for explaining this to me. I also check Bulbapedia every day, so I'm always keeping my facts up; it's just that I know more about the PokΓ©mon than the human characters.

Let's just agree to disagree, okay?
