Looks very beautiful! Lovely work!
(also, do you do other commissions like these for 55$? I'd be happy to commission you, as I still need a gift for my mate, but I'm a bit short on money atm. )

Really great anatomy! The wings, thumbs, horns, spikes down the backs, belly scales and, what impressed me the most was that you represented very well the muscles' shapes in the paws and through the body.

It's so beautiful! How do you do the body texture - just paint them on as lighter spots and then correct a bit with a thinner brush? The result is stunning! ^^

Aw, thank you very much for the comment!
As for the body texture, I sample a certain color on the body after I block in the general highlights, shadows, etc. with the Eyedropper tool, and apply that color to the border of two color blocks with the 19 Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow (no, really, that's the name of the brush - comes standard with PhotoshopCS4)in small strokes spaced apart to still allow the blocked in colors to show through underneath. Basically, this is just done with a decent amount of color sampling with the eyedropper tool to get a gradual range of color that I want, and adding lighter or darker variants independently when needed (such as the light, almost grey color of the lightest lights on the abdomen and upper thigh).
I'm not that good at explaining visual techniques, but I suppose the next time scales like this are needed in an image I'm working on, I could provide a tutorial for it : )
Thank you for your comment and question!
