okay im aware this is not a "good" drawing. i didn't really pay attention to the anatomy or anything and even tho its fully colored its more a colored doodle than a finished image (i mean look at those feet), but that aside. i decided that i should focus on reworking a few designs in preparation for art fight. (despite that i've only done this one and i think it starts Saturday? lol hard to get back in the swing of things since the surgery.) This is Xavier tempest, he started out ages ago as an adoptable that i liked and kept and he's been pretty heavily redesigned here. originally he was blonde and yellow and blue colored but i worried he was too similar to other characters so i changed that allot. i found this stormy color scheme and thought it was fantastic and something i didn't do yet images.squarespace-cdn.com/con…

"Xavier is something of a local celebrity, he's the weather forecaster in chosana on their most popular channel. He has the ability to detect and effect electrical conductivity and can control thermal energy. not only can he tell what the weather is going to be he can change it with little effort. He however has an incredibly lazy persona, when not on camera he usually lays around mindlessly and is constantly in his own thoughts which tend to drift.

its not uncommon to walk into the studio and see him sprawled over his desk like a dead man. he hates rain and constantly has his hood up and pulled as tight as possible during bad weather. he wears a blue rain tarp attached to his belt which he tends to pull out and drape over himself like a tent during bad weather. His eccentric personality actually just adds to his popularity which hasn't gone to his head. in fact he seems to be completely oblivious at all times... to everything.

even on tv he has absolutely no work ethic, but he keeps his job because he is never wrong. he will talk dead pan and barley move, roughly gesture to the weather maps and will randomly drop other notes on the weather or warn people to wear rubber clothing out of nowhere. he is constantly groaning, whining and rolling his head in annoyance to anything that complicates his life. he will lay down anywhere he thinks is physically possible to hold him. if he fits he sits. the device he wears in his hair picks up different atmospheric signals that he cant sense with his powers. it also illegally picks up different signals from sources he hasn't paid for. like a local podcaster who is in the middle of telling a fantastical drama."
