I LOVE this. You took this with a point and shoot camera? Sorry, I'm a beginner and I'm trying to get an idea of what my camera is capable of...I'm stuck with a Canon power shot A1400 until I feel like I'm good enough for a dslr. But I digress, if this is possible with a camera like mine, I WILL squeal with delight. What was the lighting like?

Nope, in fact I didn't do any editing on it other than some levels work and flipping it horizontally so you can read 'Canon'.
