Description
I drew this as a birthday present for a friend of mine since she loves Miroku. I even framed and matted it. But I scanned it in before I sent it away. It's in pencil.This is Miroku from Inuyasha, created by Takahashi Rumiko.

I find eyes can be rather difficult when actually shading with pencil, so I'm impressed on how nice his eyes look--and I also really like the shading directly beneath his lips for some reason. And the way you remembered his earrings!

The shading and lighting in the face is excellent it makes it look realistic and the black, white and gray tones add to the solemn look.

I love the "smear" method. Shadow, smear, erase, add more shadow... and it comes out looking like THAT. ^^v

I usually use toilet paper for smearing. (anything as long as it doesn't have lotions in it will work... tissues) And white erasers work the best for making the whites come back.
