🌿Description🌿

Valewings are medium sized dragons hosting large wings, much like Skywings. Coming in all sorts of colors, Valewings range from rocky browns and grays, all the way to bright blues, reds and purples. All Valewings are based off some of of rock, minerals and gems, whether it's coal to diamonds. Being based off hard materials, what they're based off does not effect one's hardness of scales. Their scales are smooth and oval shaped, much like their eyes.
Boasting sharp spikes, these dragons shed them. During their shedding, Valewings become aggressive and aggravated, making them deadly to approach. Their spikes are incredibly sharp, able to cut through anything organic. Despite being sharp, Valewings do not use these spikes as weapons. All Valewings have spikes on their chins, ankels, wrists, and a curved horn on their head.

Much like Skywings, Valewings live in the mountians that touch the clouds, ranging to deep canyons and ravines. Their kingdom rests within these mountains, their palace deep within the caves.
Similar to Hivewings, Valewings are extremely well adapted to using technology, being more advanced than other tribes. Having steam steam punk like buildings and weapons, Valewings are not to be trifled with. Their brains are the biggest out of any tribe, their knowledge is their key to survival. All Valewings have some sort of inborn ability to create weapons from hatching, whether it's a simple knife to a sword.
The best builders are used to repair and used for construction, building homes, shops to working on the palace itself.

🌿Abilities🌿

This mountian dwelling tribe has two stomachs, one used for consuming food, while the other is used to consume rocks and minerals. Their second stomach is called a 'furnace,' as it is used to melt rocks. The rocks they digest are used to repair their scales, and help them breathe fire. While they can breathe fire, Valewings can only do short bursts of it. Generally, their fire is weaker than most tribes. Their stomachs can ahndle any type of meat. They are carnivores. What they lack in fire, they make up for it in their scales. All Valewings can turn to 'stone,' giving off the appearance of statues. Every Valewing goes through a hibernation state, in which their scales turn to stone, and sleep. This state happens three different times in their lives. When a dragonet becomes an adult, they will sleep for several months before bursting out of their shells, as an adult. The second is when they become an elder.

In order to become a 'statue,' Valewings must consume rocks and minerals to produce this rocky shell. If they do not, they cannot proceed to the next stage in their life.
FAor one to tell the difference between a real statue and a Valewing, one must look at the eyes. All Valewings have dark gray eyes while they are 'statues.' Their eyes will always be darker than gray color of their statue form.

🌿Traits🌿

Every Valewing has different traits, whether it is having longer spikes, more spikes, longer horns, or shorter horns. These traits help differ between one another. While traits have no ranking for the dragons bestowing them, some are rarer than others.
If a Valewing is born with legendary traits or rare, they are seen as incredibly unique, but that does not mean they get special treatment.

🌿Diseases/Mutations🌿

There are only one disease, and two mutations known to occur in the Valewing tribe.

Gembound is a deadly diseases where a dragon is born with gems and crystal like growths on their body. These crystals grow as the dragon ages, weighing them down with tremendous force. Those born with Gembound actually have a curse, as *only* the Royal family has this disease sent by their god. Those with this curse have the ability to control the earth. With this, they can create mountains, ravines and even split the earth open. They can control rocks at their will, and have incredible healing properties, at a price. Gembound comes in different forms, as some are born with few gems, while others have the crystals all over their bodies. Much like Animus magic, Gembound has a cost. The more one uses their powers, the more gems grow onto the body. This disease is incredibly deadly. While it is like Animus magic in the sense as it takes from one's body, Valewings do not possess Animus magic itself, and will never posses such power.

Capsule is a mutation where one's body has bits of ore veins in their body. These ore veins grow minerals and gems, which causes discomfort and generally weakens one's scales and body physically. It is deadly, however only a few have died.

Quills is another mutation affecting the body. Quills is a mutation that causes more spikes to grow on one's body. These spikes shed more often than normal, and are incredibly sharp. While they add extra weight, it is not as deadly as you think. Those born with Quills are usually kept away from the tribe to keep them, and others safe. There is a special location for those born with Quills to live in peace with others that have this mutation.

🌿Religion🌿

Valewings used to have a religion called the Eternal Fire, a cult like religion long ago, and thus banned. The Eternal Fire worshiped a powerful deity who birthed the Valewings from his own, spilled blood. It is rumored every Valewing is related to this god.
It is said the Royal family was created with pure blood, and the common folk were created with 'tainted' blood.
This deity is depicted to be a Valewing with four wings, and enormous. Centuries ago, while the tribe still worshiped their god, the king and queen were said to have direct contact with said god, able to hear his voice and carry out his demands and needs.
However, one day the queen refused, thus angering the god. Curisng the Royal family, the God 'gifted' the Gembound disease to the king and family. Any dragonet of the king and queen were cursed to be born with the disease, killing any heir to the throne for ever.

The Eternal Fire was deemed banned and illegal to worship again. The queen and king had their forces destroy any and all shrines to the God to cut off any contact with their deity, sending the tribe into a new era. No new current generations know of this old religion.
