Purple & yellow are actually my least favorite complimentary pair, but they're everywhere right now, it being winter (actually there's a nice peachy & blue thing happening right now, but it's going to be purple-orange any minute, I can feel it lurking). Anyway, this was just an unwinding piece meant to restore me to Full Working Potential, so now, chop chop, time to go!Watercolor and digital (took two David Attenborough Wildlife Specials to color - I skipped "Crocodiles, The Smiling Predator" because I am watching that one carefully later for SURVIVAL TIPS. Lia; justifiably scared of crocodiles. Now you know.)

I love the contrast of all the ordered, geometrical shapes in the background & foreground with her hand- and hair-twisting. The mix of cold and warm colors is so nice, too.
I feel like her facial expression wayyyy too often.

I generally like purple and yellow together, but I find them kinda difficult to work with - however I think you did a great work with the scheme! The lighting is lovely and the composition works quite well. I like the lady, too - her gesture looks very sensitive and that's an interesting touch.

You may not like the purple-yellow colour scheme in general, but I think here it works well – a nice cosy, inviting atmosphere, and with the cool purple shadows, the candlelight looks all the cosier.

I really like the delicate floral patterns on the covers and wall hangings. Floopy becomes all the more endearing with such elegant surroundings.
