This piece has a great moody, almost romantic feel about it, as if it were the work of one of the old masters. The work that went into preparing and executing this piece was well worth it; this is excellent.

great image, and I agree with capn-gary, that much windage and seas that have that many white caps will not bode well for the ship...

Been there, done that, don't recommend it. And those boys need to get the sails down!

Oh, I don't know. Anyone who has been out on a sailboat and caught in a REAL storm would think bare poles just about all the drama they could stand. LOL... Ran for three days before a storm in the Pacific on a Cheoy Lee 48 ketch. A storm jib that was about the size of a handkerchief on the babystay and 6 300-foot long lines strung out behind to slow us down and keep us bow into the 40 foot waves...and we were still making 6 1/2 knots! We were all so battered and bruised from rolling around into the bulkheads we looked like we'd been in the world's greatest Irish Pub brawl!
Chuckle.... I got thumped in the head (and a pressure cut) from a flying can of pork & beans...

Well built boats have been dealing with it for years. The flying can of beans was just bad luck.
