My number of fan art uploads has just exceeded my fantasy. This cannot be a good sign!#054. Psyduck the Psychic Platypus Pokemon
Psyduck's vacant stare is really a deceptive lure for the unwary. She is capable of intense and bizarre telepathic powers that can easily incapacitate an opponent. Alas, this comes at considerate cost to the Pokemon, giving her a severe headache. The stronger the headache, the more intense her powers.
I chose to depict Psyduck as a Platypus for two reasons - one she looks a lot like one, and two, I had this really cute piece of platypus lineart in my archives.
#055. Golduck the Kappa Pokemon
Resembling the Japanese water monster Kappa, Golduck is a swift and elegant swimmer. Her long webbed feet and hands propel her through the water with great speed, and her tail acts as a rudder. As she increases in speed, the jewel on her forehead begins to glow with an eerie red light. She is capable of strong telekinetic powers.

Aww, what a cute psyduck! It looks much more at home in the water than the anime's representation! And that has to be the birdiest golduck I ever did see! Golduck doesn't have anything feathery on it, so I find it interesting to see it drawn as a waterbird. Also, I love her body. It's like a blue kangaroo!

I was inspired by someone else's drawing of Psyduck as a platypus. I can't remember who exactly tyhough - maybe ? She's one of my fave realistic pokemon artists.

Great work! I have to agree that Psyduck and Golduck seem to look more like platypuses than ducks. Love the way you drew Psyduck here, and the background on Golduck's pic is great.
