this is a very personal work.exactly a month ago (june 10th) my beloved father passed away. today (july 10th) he would've turned 66 y/o.
my father was the most extraordinary man. quiet and peaceful but full of wisdom and strength, he's been and forever will be the most important person in my life.
it was him who got me passionate about drawing, computers, science, knowledge, self-improvement. it's thanks to him that i am the person i am today.
this work, simple as it is, is a tribute to the best father i could ever ask for.
thank you for everything dad.

Not nearly as personal (both my parents are still alive) but it reminds me of Shaun from fallout 4. It's a magnificent picture. Obviously I never knew your father but there is a wry intelligence and wit behind those eyes.

I think I would have enjoyed meeting such a person as your father, but with this beautiful piece before my eyes, I can feel his greatness defined by the one who harbors his being.
It's strange that I should find such art tonight as well, I was at a funeral for another wonderful individual earlier today.

I'm so sorry to hear about your father. He certainly left you with some valuable interests and passions. It sounds like he was a great man. In this picture, he has such a kindness and intelligence in his eyes. It makes me wish I could've known him, but even with the small amount of information I have about him, I have a strong feeling he would be very proud of this tribute you made to him. It's simple, yes, but absolutely stunning in that simplicity!Β My condolences for your loss... the way you describe your father reminds me so much of my mother.Β Come September it will have been three years since I lost her to cancer.Β I wish I could tell you that it gets easier... but the truth is it'll be hard for a really long time.Β And given time, the pain may not be as raw and searing as it is now, but it'll still ache...
