the lighting on the old man is perfect and i like that its coming from the top of the stairs/path and lighting his front. I also like pose of him because its capturing the move and giving the feeling that he is walking up the stairs/path. the cloud and the sky behind him is also very well done in this shot reflecting the colors and the feeling of the over all shot.

Thank you very much for taking your time to write such a detailed review of my picture! I honestly tried different versions with the foreground frame - when I made it darker I felt something was missing in the image. I suppose I just like the way how light and dark frames form a kind of a rhytm.
Glad you like the lighting! The lighting was crucial element to convey the idea in this image.
And thanks for the hint on the levelling - I overlooked this moment...
