For quite a long time I was constantly pestered with the same request to do some "fanart" for JRR.Tolkien's timeless books.I was and, if truth to be revealed, still am a bit reluctant to perform such artwork for reasons of my own...However I could not deny my friend to create a very special birthday gift. I was asked to depict either Thranduil or Celeborn....With Thranduil I agreed on one condition-my artwork will not be another ThranduiLee image(with all my respect but internet is over-flooded with beautiful portraits of this talented actor performing Elven king ). Well here is my vision of young King Thranduil(not yet arrogant and obsessed with shiny sparkling stones )....Celeborn will come later(hopefully....)
