Description The blinding light fades;
my feet touch the ground.
Mountains grace the distance;
an ethereal presence reigns.
I want to walk nearer to them;
each step is like walking on blades.

Why can’t I walk without this hurting?
I think to myself.
A voice immediately replies;
“You must believe.”
The pain was near unbearable;
yet I kept walking on.

A river is soon winding;
glistening like diamonds.
Looking so refreshing,
I want to dip my feet in.
My attempt is quickly halted;
the water is like broken glass.

Why can’t I walk without this hurting?
I think to myself again.
A voice immediately replies;
“You must believe.”
The pain was near unbearable still;
yet I kept walking on.

Each step was more intense,
more agonizing than the next.
I finally surrender and fall,
crashing into the solidity.
Yet a being is hovering over,
reaching a hand down to me.

“You must believe,”
he says once more to me.
“I do believe,”
I reply, taking his hand.
The grass suddenly became soft,
just like a blanket of the purest silk.

The angel smiles warmly to me,
leading me towards the mountains.
I hold his hand and follow along,
each step more beautiful than before.

This is the most gorgeous.. most touching.. wow.. I can't even think of anything to say! But it is beautiful. I would imagine heaven this way, and this poem reminds me of strength, of never breaking down.. no matter how much pain there is.. and then finally stepping into Heaven, and being relieved, and happy..
