These were my Christmas cards for this year. I don’t usually do ‘artist cards’, but as a few people mentioned they wished to send me their own, I thought it only polite to do something myself. Harlequin cat was the result, inspired by Venetian detailing and Baroque design, and accompanied by little red bells. I sent only a few of these out this year… perhaps next time I’ll be better prepared!

Yes, but the bells seems to have been a design flaw... most of them went missing in the post.

Btw, oh yes! I certainly did! I love the card you sent and the 'essay' was wonderful. ha ha, as you could tell from my card, I'm lame when it comes to writing essays! XD

Professionally inked/shaded - what material did you use for the card?

Oh, it's just normal white card stock, medium thickness.

I GOT YOUR CARD haha!! I love it so much, and showed it to my family, who of course, couldn't believe someone drew it XD My grandfather kept asking "so she drew this?" Aw that's so sweet! I love the little mask on the stick and the frills and the hat and the puff balls on the shoes and the wiggly coat tail things and those GLOVES. And that cat, that fluffy tail is so cute and so are the fuzzy cheeks! And the whiskers! And the pretty designs on the corners! Those little red bells are so neat! Wow! Goodness!
