Description At high altitude it can be hard for a fella to get his breath The male-oriented pilot picture started life as a scribble and was done in the old workplace in between working, eating, and reading Karl May's "The Black Persian" and Gene Wolfe's "Soldier of the Mist". Karl May invented the western and Gene Wolfe invented Pringles

By the way, fans of fantasy, adventure, and general weird fiction should take a look at my group in progress:

also this position, the guy behing other, that looks very very naughty, can be interpreted with some second intention here

I've been in hospital for heart surgery, and as you may know that is ONE of the surgeries where you are so far under anesthesia that you're hanging on by a thread, a single thin strand of life, fed to you by an anesthesiologist. When I was waking from the first surgery, I didn't really have dreams so much as flash images that I'm sure were inspired either by my eyes opening, now and again, and my mind registering what I saw or what my ears heard. In any event, long story short, I have a dull memory of a similar image of the respirator that I kept fighting (and almost pulled out of my throat, the nursing staff told me with ashen faces and feigned giggles). So, anyway, thanks for the memories, hun (feigns a giggle)

supposed to do?

In 1983 there was a movie named "Brainstorm" with Natalie Wood and Christopher Walken. It's about being able to "plug into" the mind and see what someone is thinking. Those of us that grew up through the 60's and 70's learned fast that what was happening today was on the drawing board 20 and 30 years ago. The moon rockets technology was on the boards in the early 50's, the space shuttle, in the 60's, the laptop computer in the 70's and so on. We also realized that the shit that Hollywood put out as fiction was actually telling us what the government was doing, because Hollywood is just the govnt's bitch.  So, if they're admitting they're TRYING to Remote View, they already have it and there's something scarier on the drawing board they're NOT admitting. Great! Now I'll have nightmares again. So, you'll have another good painting to do...lmao

Yes, I saw the movie! After Wood died they tried to
shelve the film until the producers convinced the studio
she'd completed her role before death.
Oh yeah, any awful sci-fi idea you can think
of you can just bet some of those intelligence types
are trying it. Jodorowsky covered this idea in his film
The Holy Mountain in which he outright said that
governments put these things into popular culture to try
and build up support for war or whatever other evil thing
they have on deck.
Don't you go having nightmares, mister! Unless, of
course, they're the inspiring kind

I'm more of mind that Hollywood, being historically the liberal lap dogs of the Socialistic Regime that has come to power (with their help) more reports at their masters biding what IS GOING to happen to us all. It merely takes a sharp eye, a keen ear and an open mind to understand it all. But yeah, my nightmares, as all of my dreams are inspirational. I'll have to tell you some of the really good ones one day. You'll have plenty of material for paintings then. lol

Funny thing, I had a particularly vivid, violent dream the other night and woke slowly from it thinking that is would work nicely into one of the scenes in my book so I quickly booted up my lappy, which shares the other side of my queen bed (Keep the jokes to yourself!) every night, and wrote it down. So, possibly our talking about this inspired me?? Ya think?

Ive done almost 6K words in 3 days. About 2K a day which is about average, for most writers, but amazing for me since I do about 35 wpm on a good day..lol

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-08-28 22:18:02 +0000 UTC]

If i get the money, which will probably be after my mother passes on, I'll prolly do the trilogy first one book at a time then The Synister Maelstrom then whatever Ive done between now and then. One book is an LGBT erotica so its going under a different pen name. Only because the world is still NOT enlightened about LGBT or open minded enough about that form of literature. Even some writers on HERE dont consider it literature!

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-08-29 01:18:16 +0000 UTC]

Have you thought of submitting anything to like small
press publishers or anything? That way you wouldn't
have to get any money together to start with. Pen names
are fun anyhow, I've got one I've wanted to use forever.
Yeah, people are slow to accept things like that sometimes,
I figure it's their loss.

I haven't got any magic tricks for it, otherwise I'd be getting
books out too. From what I understand it's largely about
networking and getting your name out there, submitting stuff
various places, online magazines, etc. If I come up with
anything better I'll share it. My brother is an aspiring writer
as well and he hasn't made the biggest splash.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-08-30 15:35:55 +0000 UTC]

and because of the demanding life I have I dont have the time it requires to network. I tried that idea tentatively and basically if you dont already have a large network of friends, like trying to sell Am-way, you're not going to get far. So, Im willing to go the paid way. It takes money to make money as they say and believe me, if your no good those self publishers will tell you. They're not going to waste time on a no sell proposition.

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-08-30 15:51:41 +0000 UTC]

That's fair. Time isn't always the key, though, my brother
is an unemployed leech, he has all his time to give to this,
and he still hasn't gotten far in the 5 years he's been
chasing it. But you should do the thing that's gonna work
for you, the more I see the more it seems to me there
are no real rules. I just hope you get in some time to
relax!

Ah, that's always fun. Enjoy!
That "Something Wicked" synopsis sounds pretty interesting.
I've always liked the "it started innocently enough" branch of
horror/fantasy, I think it was Frank Belknap Long who had
a really brilliant story in that area, but it lacked the romantic
aspect. Anyhow, I feel right at home with that one since it
sorta harks back to the 80s "anything is possible" school of
storytelling.
"Synister Maelstrom" has potential, on first impression I think
of things like "The Other Hell" and "Perfume". The quest story
can be very fruitful since a journey of discovery always provides
ample opportunity to unroll a whole tapestry of good stuff.
I haven't peeked at anything else just yet.

I am happy to send you the manuscripts to look over if youre interested in a good read. Youll have to over look the typos and now and then destroyed syntax as I havent the money to have the manuscripts professionally edited and my english skills are in doubt lol  I rather agree with Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady when he said that the English (speaking people) dont train their children in proper English. That if you try to speak proper English youre regarded as a freak lol. But if you want the manuscripts Ill send them to you. My email is: silknightshade@gmail.com. Just drop me a hello and I'll mail them to you. You WILL like "Something Wicked"

I'd love to check them out! I warn you, it might take
me a while to get through them, I've got an insane reading
cue. Yeah, the language slowly changes as people choose
to toss rules out the window. I'm told that in modern schools
they don't teach the difference between "to, too, and two"
anymore, or "there, their, and they're". Hell, they don't even
give out failing grades to poor students now!

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-09-01 03:53:36 +0000 UTC]

Hun, according to my daughter they dont even teach lettering and cursive handwriting anymore. In another 50 years I predict the world will be functionally illiterate thanks to the "computer age" and the politics that govern us now. The NEW classless society; the few have's that own and rule the world and the have-not's that make it run! But just let me know when you're ready and I'll shoot them to you. These you can just sit back and read as leisure reading.

Yeah, it's all pretty much dumbing down. I heard some
idiots want the alphabet to stop being taught in schools
and instead have kids just learn words as if they were
symbols, which ignores the fact that the idea would
make it nearly impossible to create new words.
Will do.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-09-03 01:10:05 +0000 UTC]

Well I don't suppose you can get much dumber than that, other than going to the crap in "1984" like "double-plus good" and so on. Almost there now as some kids are now using "lol" and "brb" in spoken language.

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-09-03 01:37:00 +0000 UTC]

That's more or less what that would be like. Language
does change and it does it based on linguistic abuses, I just
don't know why it has to go so fast

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-09-03 01:49:05 +0000 UTC]

Yes language does change however we are devolving rather than evolving and it's because ignorance is easier fooled and duped than education! It's all part and parcel for going back to Totalitarianism. HUman history has seen a Democratic Republic only one other time in history, the ancient Greeks. Everything else has been one form or another of Monarchy, dictator, totalitarian ect. and it's going back. The ONE grandest design ever plotted by megolomanical, greedy humans has been ONE WORLD! Not to end hunger, or war or any such high minded ideal but for just what it looks like. So that a power hungry few can control the masses.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-09-03 10:15:41 +0000 UTC]

Well, this is why I keep thinking on re-constructing things
so that the power-hungry types haven't got a place in
government. I don't know if it's workable, but there's gotta
be a way to exclude that special brand of corruption from
the equation.

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-09-03 16:53:24 +0000 UTC]

I think that is the one condition of human nature you'll never "breed" out of people; greed and avarice, to want to have more than one individual could need to be comfortable. It plays to our "survival of the fittest" preservation instincts. What needs be, is to return to teaching people to resist their impulses, to CONTROL the ACTIONS that ensue from our desires and wants, WHEN they are inappropriate or hurt others. Politicians know this and they play to it promising the have nots that they'll get the same thing the haves have and not have to lift a finger or strain anything to do it. Just Vote for ME on Election day and ...bla bla bla.

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-09-05 14:33:48 +0000 UTC]

Yes, all politicians are only interested in power and whatever
can finance their trip. I think there could be a way to keep
the elected a little more humble to their task, but I think it
would involve radical measures, so it's unlikely.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JonSavage In reply to leothefox [2015-09-05 15:15:46 +0000 UTC]

Sadly, I havent seen a time yet where there was any really effective deterrent to crime and avarice. The Middle East claims that the crime is at a minimum compared to the west (england and over) but its not what they claim so Ive been told by friends traveling over there. So, perhaps public executions and profound punishments might curb it a bit, youll NEVER, I believe, stop human greed either for materialistic things or power

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

leothefox In reply to JonSavage [2015-09-05 15:23:50 +0000 UTC]

There'll always be crime, some countries execute for everything
and they don't run out of people to behead. I think this country
could come closer to it's purpose if politics stopped meaning power.
I think an elected official should be doing a genuine civic duty,
no more no less. He should be on the level of a juror or a soldier,
just doing a job, not pulling strings to his own ends. If I'm going
to vote some bastard into office I don't want it to be his paid
vacation.
