INTERPRETATION #1
Hiccup and Toothless are walking under a deep dark tunnel. Strangely, they discovered Astrid's betrothal necklace. That means they are coming closer to rescuing her from her imprisonment from the Warlords.

INTERPRETATION #2
Both Hiccup and Toothless are about to risk their lives searching for the Warlords to face them strategically in their journey to a different route (the dark tunnel). Hiccup takes out the necklace to remember the love of his life, Astrid, and also his family (both humans and dragons) in order comfort himself so he wouldn't be discouraged or afraid to move forward on this dangerous task.
