{Had to hop around the commission list a bit due to incoming fabric not incoming when planned! MUST STAY PRODUCTIVE!!}Golbat is a commission for Andcetera .
Seriously LOVED making this guy! I sometimes play serious amounts of Pokemon Puzzle League, so the only things I could think of while making him were the screeches he would make during long chains.
- 12" tall from ears to bottom, 28" wingspan.
- Made of smooth minky with machine embroidered eyes.
- Wings contain wire for posing, as well as quilt batting for shape.
- Tongue and wing details are top stitched.

Any way you could post a simplified pattern for this guy? I've looked everywhere, & I can't find a sewing pattern for Golbat, just crochet patterns... I'm doing a Team Rocket Grunt costume for MegaCon, & I wanted to "evolve" my Zubat plushie from last year, since it was such a hit.

I actually free-handed the pattern right onto the fabric instead of paper, but his body is basically the same as a sphere pattern (which can be found anywhere!) except elongated (lengthwise not width-wise). The ears are triangular shaped and the wings/feet are straight forward since you would just need to draw out the actual shape. If you have any other questions, let me know. I hope I can see this happen at Megacon!!

Oh wow, thank you. Most artists are stingy & secretive with their patterns, so I didn't figure you'd share yours — I'm pleasantly surprised! Question: do you think I could do a Golbat out of Foamies instead of cloth? I'm trying to make it as lightweight as possible, so it'll "fly" behind me on a shoulder harness rig like my Zubat. Was thinking I'd stuff it with minimal batting, or packing peanuts. So, do you think this is viable, & if so, where would I want all the seams? I imagine I'll have to hot-glue the foam instead of sewing it.

Hahaha!! Yeah I almost took photos last night, but decided to strengthen up his wire skeleton since initially it wouldnt hold that closed wing pose very well. So I ended up doing that this morning and it's sooo much better! I'm SUPERSUPER happy that you're pleased with him!
