No this is not a heavy liquid special effect generated for a Spielberg movie. This is the real thing. This is a massive storm cloud rising many kilometers into the stratosphere and covering a couple of hundred square kilometers. This manifestation of foul weather was accompanied by severe storm warnings on the radio and pebble-sized hail. It rolled over the Dakota prairie like a tidal wave.
