Two shambling zombie girls stare at Iona as she enters Cholk's flat.
Iona: Whoa, who are they? What are they?
Cholk: Well, they're zombies. They rescued me from a Construct holding camp in Pennsylvania. These zombies are half construct and half Fey. The Fey Enforcement Bureau didn't know what to do with them.
Iona: They are half construct and half Fey? I didn't know constructs could give birth. No offense.
Cholk: None taken. Yeah, when a Revenant mates with a Vampire, a Zombie is born. How rude of me. Iona, meet the Chambergren twins, Mia and Kelly.
Iona: It's a pleasure to meet you two. Can they understand me?
Cholk: Their vocal skills are limited, and their movement is slow, but they are highly intelligent. Mia is a master tech whiz and a master chef, even with her diet, and Kelly is a code breaker.
Iona: Do they eat living flesh?
Cholk: Do you suck out souls? I can't believe you, of all people, would buy into human propaganda films. They are fungivores.
