Когда в Греции начинался дождь то шел очень долго но потом все очень бистро висихало. Ми часто виносили ванную или лодку на двор с водой.

To be honest, I find acrylics very difficult too! Especially to do the background (takes me ages!). It dries so fast, doesn't it? And I find it very difficult to work with extenders, mixers etc. So even if I prolong the 'life' of wet paint, it is still challenging.
But I am too impatient to work with oils and can't wait That long

You should try Alkyds (Fast drying oils). They have all the vibrancy of oils but dry in a few hours.

Oh, thank you, but did not really deserve it! I am usually taking the images I paint from the photography, so it is the photographer who deserves the compliments! But I try my best to make the painting look very close to the photo, as naturalistic as I can.
