Portrait of a Black Arabian Thoroughbred.I've been planning for a long time to draw an Arabian horse portrait, well, here it is.I used a very small reference photo which I found with Google many years ago.Here it is: [link] UPDATE: I got an information about the black stallion on the reference photo is The Sabbath S from Sapphire farms [link]
I do not own the reference photo, hopefully the owner won't mind that I made a drawing of the horse. In case of copyright issues please note me and I'll remove my drawing.Thank you!
Technical information:
-DERWENT aquarelle pencils (without water), and
-pastels were used on
-gray A4 aquarelle paper
-about 10 hours work.

beautiful!! i use watercolor pencils, too.. to draw fine details for pastel on velours paper.. works out so well

I know this horse, his name is Simeon Sadik.. The drummer from the Rolling Stones bought him for 1 million dollars for his wife
