Vishuddha, or the Throat Chakra, is the fifth of the seven primary chakras. It's symbolized by a lotus with sixteen petals and the colour turquoise.
The throat chakra is associated with communication, creativity, and self-expression. According to some spiritual and religious traditions, the throat chakra is considered the seat, or home, of human emotion. Think about it. When we are emotionally upset, we often say we’re “choked up,” unable to speak clearly, which makes sense if the throat is the emotional hub. Yes?
Physically speaking, an unbalanced fifth chakra can cause you to experience consistent fatique, headaches, and speech impairment. Emotionally, it can initiate behaviors indicative of insecurity and a lack of control, like lying, manipulation and arrogance.
How to heal and balance your Throat Chakra:
- Keeping a journal to express one’s feelings, speaking the truth always and voicing thoughts and opinions while realizing self uniqueness
- Painting, artwork, crafts, singing and chanting
- Aromatherapy and sound therapy

Never thought of it like that, but that could be why speaking and the throat are always impacted by strong surges of emotion. Can't believe there's two whole Chakras above this one, though...Where do we even fit them all?

I thought Yarubi was Arceus at first when I saw her in the thumbnail pic. XD But aside from that, I LOVE how warm the lighting looks in this picture. And the ears/feathers behind her head look extremely tangible in this image too-- I imagine that they would have a soft, feathery feel to them!
