This is really nice!
Do you have a plasma cutter or do you saw out the silhouettes by hand?

I got myself into a similar project my first year in metal calss but was way too inexperienced to make it come out the way I wanted to.
I set up a layer of several pieces to entwine and give support to eachother, but when it came to soldering it the workshop I was in didn't have enough power in the equipment, thus making me scorch some of the metal.

And since the workshop being too small I had little room to give the piece a finish what so ever.

Pre-sketch: [link]

i had to completely forget about the "over cheek"-bits and simply bent them upwards tor a "crown only"- look.

Don't know if i will ever use this. Possibly for halloween, but nowdays this is worth more to me in metal than it is as a piece. Oh, well.

great work!

I like your crown. Yes, mine was cut out with a plasma cutter. The stainless steel it was made from was .070 inch thick this allowed me to bevel the edges. Being that thick I mig welded the layers.
