I saw an open door with the red/white being a view into another room (which is illuminated). Welcoming you to enter out of the darkness.
On the left/ dark side I see a welcome mat in grey (not very welcoming) & a dark window up above with bars on it...as there is a mat on the floor it, the window MUST be a part of a door. If it is a door, it has long been sealed & all the lights are out, so they must not what any visitors.

No...well, we didn't want any visitors at that time, and the place was darker than the inhabitants. The rooms were so dark when neither of us was in them...

I could walk around this pillar ... and I do want to know what is on the other side.
