Description Description: Wow. I surprised myself. I was originally just grabbing stock and then I was thinking "ooh, that would look good with that and that" and it blossomed from there. I can easily say that I think this is my best work so far. Still plenty of this I could change, but I love it for now. Oh, and I decided to add a different, more professional-looking watermark that won't destroy the image. What do you think?
The idea behind this picture is that she's waiting for her love to return. But there's storm clouds on the horizon... is he there on the ship or has she been waiting in vain?

Time taken: Wasn't even paying attention to time... a couple of hours, maybe?

What do I like about it? Everything. You have put the girl (in a very beautiful period dress) into the photo of the jetty so well that I did not even tell that bit was not real until later. The boat unfortunatly gave it away. It is an emotive picture. Keep up the good work

I did make a revised version so that the ship blended a bit better, but it won't upload. And really, leaving it the way it is makes it a bit more raw. Shows my room for improvement, and reminds me to take more time with the details.
Thank you very much for your feedback.

Thanks. Took a little while fiddling with adjustment layers to get a nice colour balance.
What do you think could be improved?

This is just great. I really like this one
I'm not sure but I guess maybe a little bit of contrast can make the photo different.

Yup. Even after I'd finished it, there were things I'd like to have tweaked a bit more, and adding a bit of contrast, especially to her as she looks rather flat to me, was one of them.
Thank you for your feedback.

Life itself is a waiting game - for the people of Venus - its an endless game!! Love seems to appear on the horizon but it vanishes soon. And like a rose there are thorns attached - if I can put it other way, there are rocks that threaten to sink the ship!! Wishing you to find love that comes flying at you - unharmed and pure

What a beautiful manipulation you've made here I can feel her heart pounding from the anxiety that she probably has as she awaits there I love it!

You've done a marvellous job with this picture, and the description is perfect.

And as the ship comes closer, your heart begins to swell with the possibility that your one true love has come back, from one of his many arduous journeys around the world, to fall back into your arms.

Probably one of the best ways to express the clichΓ©: "So close, yet so far away."

Well done on such a great manipulation and hope to see more.

I do hope to make more manips that are on par with this one, but I think it was a fluke.
