Description
This is a colour version of the sketch i did earlier which can be found here; [link]I had loads of fun with this and can't wait to create some more L fan art =]
The software i used to paint this was GIMP and used my good old mouse to colour it in

it did take while =/ ...luckily i got really into it and didn't realise how much time i was spending on it untill i finished and looked at the time,
it was a bit of a shock but i was happy with the result so it was worth it, hmm.. i think i may need to invest in a pc tablet lol =]

Ahh i do the same thing... i lose hours working and overworking on things ^^ time sucks at the moment ._.
I think it look great ^_^ Graphics tablets are good but they are hard as hell to get used to, used them a couple of times at college but im saving for one now

Lol I completely agree.. i was looking at some of the Wacom tablets, particularly the bamboo models and almost had a heart attack when i first saw the prices!

Hmm i don't actually know anyone with a tablet (i seem to be the art nut of the group lol) but yup i do go to college, hehe i think i may pay the art or D.T department a visit after half term , wahoo thanks for the idea

I take Economics, but i used to study art/Ceramics a while ago so hopefully i'll still be on good terms with some of the art teachers hehe, aww i sometimes wish i carried on with art, quite a few of my mates still do it and when we're looking at eachothers sketch books i get a little nostalgic 
i miss it like all the time (which is probably why i end up spending so long on the fan art lol

Haha.. i regretted not taking art at school in my options, i moved through year eleven so i took it up (free option) and managed to zoom through that ._. college is just so much fun ^^ Im sure theyll let you try it though 
hehe.... my tutor doesnt seem to like illustration work though.. so i try and avoid anime there but even my serious stuff is.. illustrationey D:

aww i loved art during my GCSE's - lol i remember the course work hehe that was a killer, but so much fun! The only subject on par to art is music
The tutors down at my college don't tend to fully apreciate illustration work either lol, but i was kind of shocked to see that someone had submitted one as what i think was a final piece once so i think anime isn't totally out of the question lol, (the tutors sure like their serious art stuff) haha i like the way you roll, keep it all as illustrationey as possible
aww when it came to picking my AS subjects i had to let it go
Yeh the art tutors are cool i'll pop down next week and ask very nicely if i can try out one of the tablets

Ahh yes.. the dreaded coursework D: I managed to pull up through the six months and get an A.. somehow D: I did my final piece as an anime character actually ^^ It was pop art, so i thought pop art > comic > manga > anime :3 and it worked xD
Love illustration designs, i guess your given your own genre so theres not alot tutors can do to stop that
I do all my stuff on dA in my own time.. its mainly doodles and things i do for fun ^^

Mine was based on Rousseau so it was all jungles and rainforesty lol , my final grade was somehow through a lot of paint, sweat and more paint.. an A to

Same here i doodle every now and then and sometimes get the odd crazy idea where i end up way over my head (lol those always end up being the most fun though hehe)

Art is meant to be fun - just like music ^^ (sadly i suck at playing any form of instrument buuut its fun!). Ahh i remember the exam too D: one person finished in an hour and a half (eeegh based it on twilight too) so the teacher was not happy xD

I feel the same, my younger brother however is the opposite, he adores music D:
He got his first electric guitar llast Xmas... umm since he has formed many bands with his friends, and now he's getting an equipment sponsorship of ridiculous amounts and is being recorded and filmed in a minor studio... tomorrow morning D:
And he still doesnt realise that THAT is major D: He does metallica and bullet for my valentine covers mainly... he's enev got a small gig booking for a couple of years time... oh... i hate him T^T hehe

Lolz wow that's amazing! My little brothers not very musical, the guitar he got for his birthday's somewhat gathering dust although i hope he picks it up at secondary school at some point (haha i'll be hinting none stop, hopefully he'll get the message.. or not lol).
aww i hope everything at the studio goes well, one of my mates used to manage small gigs here and there, its really good that your brothers band's getting out there

I was the same with mine, took him a couple of months to get off the PC and practice.. little talent-hog can hack things and make online games... no ordinary 13 year old should be able to do this D:

Not too farfetched, hes hacked his nintendo wii to get it to play DVDs and tv series from a USB.. he's somewhat hacked our computer and laptop layouts (i can have a black dA layout if i wanted xD)... he could get free XBOX, Wii and PS2 (not 3) games illegaly but my parents said a biiiig nono D:

LOL oh dear.. in a few yrs if you find strange intials on laptop screens, wierd case files and an increased amount of candy consumption then it'll be certain lol.. he shall be the new L! although as long as he doesn't ask you to call him by his intial it looks ok.. for now
