Full view pleaseEm, to be honest I had a clear image of what I wanted to do before I started but with using fireworks instead of photoshop there wasn't much I could do. I'm on the fence about whether I like this or not, it might grow on me. Hope you like it.

No i didn't use picnik, only fireworks. I wanted something that seemed real but when you take a closer look you realise that it couldn't be. I would love to be able to come up with more art similar to this, a way of showing different views on situations. A bit like my two faces mirror submission.
My idea for this one in particular came from an experience I had a long time ago. I felt like I wanted to just scrub everything out and start again, seems drastic I know, so I portrayed it in this, the girl is taking down the picture that she is actually apart of.

Did you also use picnik? it's a simple photo-editing site, and I've used that kind of text many times before. The idea is wonderfully original, and it just stands out with that beautiful shade of blue you chose. Great work.

this is great as well, but as I already said, there have to be more adjustments concerning lights and shadows, for example the butterflies and the top right corner, there should be a light shadow under the folded corner

Yeah that's the first thing I notice now when I look at it but I've only just started looking at improving my attention to detail.

Well I think this is your best work so far, but to be perfectly honest you still have to improve your skills.
I mean, the thought, the idea behind this work seems very cool, and yet the technical execution is lacking.
The different images don't seem to fit together.
This isn't set out to discourage you - on the contrary - you should only try to improve, and as you must know - practice makes perfect. Try looking at some top-level photomanipulations (there's LOADS here on DA) and learn from them.

Yeah I know there is a lot to improve on, especially the bit of the paper that is coming down. To be honest the images aren't really meant to sit well together properly since half of her is in the picture and the other half is trying to pull it down. I made this over a year ago and I know if I were to remake it there would a lot of differences and hopefully improvement, but we'll never know as I like this one too much to tamper with it. Just got back into photo-manipulation after a year off so let's just hope I can get back to that sort of imagination and see what I can come up with.

this is GORGEOUS D: I love the colours and the page falling from the corner. This is great stuff, really. I'm not sure about the butterflies though, they seem a little like they don't fit in with the picture, perhaps if they were smaller but maybe that would defy your whole concept

The main reason for keeping the butterflies reasonable big was because the whole feel of the picture was "Larger than Life". The whole point of the butterflies was also that you will notice the bottom one feels as though its actually in the picture but the other two are ON it. Similar to the girl as she isn't actually in the picture but the chair is.

amazing concept!! Perhaps to make it more so how you perceive it, the butterfly on the chair could be of the same colour scheme as the background? And maybe have a bit of a shadow on the chair.. and the butterfly on the corner of the falling page could have a shadow falling onto it, to further demonstrate that it's off the page

Why thanks very much, its not really the idea that I don't like, its the quality. I know if I had use photoshop it could have ended up a load better. But as long as you like it, Im happy
