I have a question... and I've never really known the answer, but, I see TONS of people selling like zelda plushies and other stuff they make or design themselves... but I always thought that selling something that's copyrighted is illegal? Because I would really like to make some Zelda plushies and t-shirt designs but I don't know if you can without permission from say, Nintendo...

Fan art is considered a bypass of copyright you arent claiming you CREATED LoZ or affiliates, you're simply taking their images and ideas and recreating them. No different than singing a song on camera and posting it on youtube, hope that helped.
