Chandelier Bug, actually. This is a design I came up with for a creature in Ge'var, the world in which Ligos, Nini, and most of my other characters live in.

It's a large, insectoid-reptile predator with long, spindly limbs and claws camouflaged to blend in with their forest habitats, named from its custom of dangling upside-down from branches using the "fingers" on it's tail. Long periods of time in this position has allowed this animal to evolve with a reversed head - its jaw lies above its eye so that while hanging its head will seem to be in an upright position. Though rare in occurrence, chandelier bugs flash their bright torso and tail when startled or threatened. It uses its long antennae to both smell and "hear" changes in air waves to detect prey. Suspended above their heads, the bug then drops down quickly to snatch up its victim, ripping it with many claws and tearing off chunks of meat to swallow whole. Growing up to 7 feet long from folded-neck to tail-claws, prey ranges from small birds to middle-sized mammals. Full-grown bugs eat once a week on average, and although they are usually too small to harm citizens of the area, the populous is warned to be wary if they are taking a trip through chandelier bug-inhabited areas.

Scanner killed the colors on this, it makes me want to cry. I tried to get it as close to the original as possible, but it's still not as bright as it ought to be. ;_;
And yes, I still do traditional. It just takes longer than the digital stuff I've been working with. This only got finished because I was able to work on it during school hours.
