I honestly can see the loyalty and eagerness in these pokemn's expressions! your Pyro-Draco just gave me an idea of a firewerewolf, which would be terrifying yet cool to watch. I love the Blazikan in this picture, reminds me of some sort Egyptain god (Horus) of how you drew her.
My starters normally lean towards reptiles, because I'm awesome like that. Only starter I'd choose excluding this is chimchar. Because clearly chimchar is no scaly typed thing.

Thanks! Although, I'm really iffy on Pyro-Draco's design. Her lower body is..weird. Especially the tiny feet and toes. I'm gonna have to redo her later.
I like the fluffy Pokemon, usually. But, I do prefer many of the reptile ones compared to most others. Sceptile is really one of my favorites, but I still tend to choose Blazikan over it somehow. It's probably the beak. I like beaks.

Well, Typhlosion looks like a weird pokemon in general, like its got a boa with static around its neck...
Don't burden yourself with just how she looks now, You did really good. Even if the feet are tiny, it's okay, she's got fire around her neck and is a pokemon, lawl...i think you did great. If I wasnt such a polite person, id so nag you to draw my favorite pokemon. XD
Out of those evolutionary lines, I like Grovyle.
And who was your favorite legendary bird

Erm,actually, I wouldn't mind if you request a Pokemon. Because they seem to be one of the few things I can make myself draw right now. -Just got Soul Silver to play, lol, I got stuck on the Pokymans-
My favorite legendary bird would have to be Ho-Oh. It was my first Legendary, and my second level 100 ever. I loved that thing. Mine hung out with Pyro-Draco on my first Silver version. Always had it with me. And I can't wait to get one from SS. 8D

I love Soul Silver <3 Havent beat it yet due to time restraints, but Im on my way there. Even though Lugia reminded me of a dragon, he was my favorite. (or if that dont count Articuno rockeden muh sockesens)
You'll probably laugh at my favorite pokemon because hardly anyone likes it, but I love the bat ones...Zubat <3 (surprise surprise)
I also favor Haunter, Aerodactyl, Vaporeon, Ekans and you know I strongly like even more!
These new Gen V pokemon make me mad, every generation all of them get even more 'unbeatable'. Pokemons going to become like Saw and go on forever until noone cares about it anymore...Digimon and Beyblades were just as good yet they stopped making it.

Yeah Articuno was my favorite of those three birds. Lugia...I like it, but I grew more attached to Ho-oh since that was the one I caught first. Though, all the birds are just epic.
Ahaha! I'm about to scan a Vaporeon onto the computer. It's so much fun to draw~
And, you know, I was actually debating on drawing Zubat yesterday. I had mine in my Pokewalker so he could walk around school with me. I ended up working on an Ampharos instead. Zubat doesn't really get much of the love it deserves. I mean, how many of us have fallen victim to that Supersonic they always use? It takes forever to get past them in those caves!
And the new Gen is icky. I mean, they made an ice cream one. Ice cream! Ugh! And that gear one just uses the same sprite with add-ons for all the evolutions, which just irks me as lazy. Some of the new ones are cute and all, but overall their designs just make me want to scream. >_<
I'm not even sure if I want to get one of the new games. I may just stop at SS, since it's a remake of my first, and favorite, version.

I agree soley - even though Zapdos' cry scared the piss out of me one night. lmao
I think Zubat is in the top five most hated pokemon due to that. Supersonic pisses me off when Im not the one using it. XD
I always tried to run away from the zubat, I hated the thought of making it faint. Ffff XD
Nothing says lazy like slapping on a smiling face to an icecream cone, right? Cartoon Network is going to keep going on until they have nothing left. I've noticed that they are rerunning old 80s - 90s shows and remaking their greatness to near faggotry to please the newer crowds. I dont see why they had to add on more and more pokemon anyway, I think the first games through Gen 1 and 2 were great and entertaining as they were. I think they shouldve stopped after Pokemon 2000 came out, noone needs (what is the count now? 500?) that many pocket monsters.
I wouldnt even bother wasting time on the new games, I say stick with the old and dont even please the new ones- thatll only add onto what will probably be the next fifteen generations...

Rofl, shoulda seen my face the first time I heard Lugia's cry. I was like "Wtf was that?"
Aww, I always thought Zubat was cute. I didn't usually use it that much, until I made it a goal to get Crobat. It got pretty powerful, too.
And I hate caves because of Zubats and Golbats sneaking up on me. Batman's heaven. XD
I agree on the new gen. We don't need more Pokemon, the first few Generations were fine. I wasn't even that thrilled with gen 3 when it came out. My starters were the only ones I cared for, with few exceptions.

I liked Lugia's cry, it made me go "Awww! It's like a little dragon!"
Crobat in my opinion looked like it was straining something...Its a bat and it looks cute, but I liked its previous evolutions so much better.
Gen 3 was the one that started the gayness that is evolving into Pokemon's.
Btw, Are the ones in this picture your all time favorite pokemon?

Naw, they're just my starters that I had for each of the games. In a way, they're favorites, but I like others more than some of these. Like Breloom, for instance.
Typhlosion and Umbreon are two of my all-time favorites, though. Because they are epic. :3

This one piece that I honestly don't feel much love for, though sadly I don't know much about drawing anatomy... I will say I love how you did Tronto, I must say this.
Shade looks... a little odd to me. It might be the bat ears though, they really do look a bit bat-ish, or that it's that it seems a little too canid in appearance, not feline enough. That might be the primary thing, not looking feline enough since the Eeveelutions were mostly really feline in appearance, Espeon, Glaceon, Leafeon, everyone except maybe Jolteon - it seems a little more canid.
On Terra, I think it's the ears... they're too lined for me. But hey, no two Pokemon truly look exactly alike if you really want to get into it. Spinda just takes it a step further. *Shrugs.*
Pyro-Draco... oh, wow. I have to be honest with you... I love down to about the shoulders, then... I don't like it anymore. The nose actually makes me think of a weasel or rat that's being threatened. The back legs on a Typhlosion are similar to that of a standing grizzly bear's legs, only the skin sags down more toward their ankles, and their general look is similar to that of a standing bear anyway. Compare the picture of a standing Typhlosion to a standing grizzly. You'll see what I mean. Overall, it seems like you tried to make an anthropomorphic Typhlosion and it didn't work out all that great at all.
Jessica... I didn't much like that generation at all. I suppose she looks okay. Torchic may be my least disliked out of everyone from Gen3 starters, but... I can't really poke at something I don't really have any feelings toward, y'know? But taking a look at Ken Sugimori's concept image of Blaziken from R/S/E, the face has something of a "mask" on it and the lower jaw is partially covered by some points coming down. That's the only thing I can really see worth tweaking on her since she looks rather like a chicken with that head, lol. A hot chicken at that x3 (Might you have taken some time to analyze some hens?)
Tronto looks pretty good. Aside from my head being stupid and wanting to complain about sizing issues or not being able to see the "rocks" jutting up from it's shell, it looks fine.
I do know that you put a lot of work and effort into your drawings, I am trying to give some constructive criticism since I know you are EXTREMELY talented and I'm trying to help you with your efforts.
Other than these, I must put in:
Female...
... Umbreon have no gender difference from the male counterpart.
... Venusaur have "a seed protruding from its flower".
... Typhlosion have no gender difference from the male counterpart.
... Blaziken have longer feathers on their head and a shorter "V" on their "mask".
Male...
... Torterra have no gender difference from their female counterpart.
And for you to get a female starter in nearly every version is so freaking lucky... It's a 25% chance to get a female starter at any point in time.
If I'm being too hard on you with any criticism, let me know.

No, that's good crit! Honestly, I wasn't so happy with Pyro-Draco or Terra. I really messed up on the plant for Venusaur, because for a while I didn't look at any references and drew from memory. And I didn't even think to look for gender differences, I just kind of...drew them. Randomly. o.O Although I liked the way Jessica's legs turned out, because drawing human anatomy with Pokemon mixed like Blazikan's was a pain. And Shade...I did make her more canine than feline, because they remind me more of a fox than a cat. And she was kind of added as an afterthought(Poor thing), hence her awkward jumping pose.
I'm not sure I put much effort into any of them more than Tronto, really. And that's because I had too much fun with his tree. XD

Actually, I've been a bit off... Umbreon is something of a mix of rabbit and fox, or rabbit and feline, I think.

Terra... you could chalk it up to her getting too much sunlight, lol, that's why she looks funky! And, taking another look at Pyro-Draco's flames, you might want to have her in a clawing pose since her flames are so far back - it looks like she's moving at a high speed for it to be like it is.
Foxes also have a very subtle felinity to them. Take a look at Ron , one of the vaguely known foxes on Youtube. (Though he's but a kit here, lol.) It is a subtle felinity to them, though.
I can see how you had fun with Tronto's tree, lol. Torterra is one of those you can have a lot of creativity and freedom with. A nest, squirrels, various birds, random trees even (as long as they're leafy), and so on.

Yeah, I did say Terra got a little abused, lol. And yeah, Pyro-Draco I could have showed better. I'm not very satisfied with the pose, but unfortunately I can't change it now. T_T

Bah, there's always round 2 with drawing different poses! Just because they've been drawn once doesn't mean they can't be drawn again.
