if you've read civil war, Iron Man gave Spiderman what is known as the Iron Spider suit. Unknown to Spiderman, Iron Man had built in a device to secretly analyse spiderman's abilities and to develop ways to overcome spiderman.
It was due to this that spiderman lost his initial fight with iron man when spidey decided to quit Iron Man's pro-registration side to join Captain America's anti-registration side. Spidey however, managed to escape.
in their 2nd encounter, Spidey disarmed Iron Man with his webbings. This was done due to his knowledge gained from studying the Iron Spider suit's engineering. Resulting in Ironman's defeat.

Would be pretty awesome if there was actually a fight like this in Civil War, but I'm pretty sure Spidey and IM will both be on the pro-registration side like in the comics. Still, who knows, maybe Peter will defect to Cap's side and this will happen

we had civil war in mind when we shot this last year. i'm looking forward to the civil war movie. and i wonder if he'll get a movie version iron spider suit as well

A slightly less bulky version of the suit might be a good addition to Spidey's 2017 solo movie, and it'd be an interesting change from the versions of the suit fans have grown accustomed to from the Sony movies. Plus it'd look awesome
