I have been wanting to do a piece in relation to Nami's arc for quiet a while. I still feel that the scenes I referenced here in the anime are incredibly ' powerful ' emotionally wise and is definitely what made me a fan hook line and sinker.Painting all done in Corel Painter with some finishing touch work in photoshop for the color washes in the background.

i have a philosophy about movies tv and well media in general and that philosophy is that drama is best delivered when it is done by a comedic character or just a comedy style show in general when the one who is joking all the time gets serious it means something more and this is the moment that made me love one piece beyond all reason they found out that nami was essentually a bad and it didn't matter luffy just had her watch his hat and the guys went to go beat up arlong even ussop the coward that he is stood up and with them to go to battle it shows not only that they love her like family but that they are serious about it and it's simply an amazing moment and this drawing is awsome and shows how much i love the scene great work

The way they acted in CP9 arc sort of reminded me of this. Monkey D. Luffy has an epic attitude to protect his friends.
