Angie was raised to be giving to others who had less than her. Because of this, she became a very kind and selfless person. She would share what she had with others and would give up her own things sometimes. Even now she will share her things with other people if they ask. She was also taught to listen to others and be compliant to other's wishes. This eventually made her an easy target for bullies, and slowly turned her self-image to be extremely critical and hateful of herself due to her sensitive and fragile nature, being very easily harmed mentally. She shut herself off and turned quiet and timid, not speaking her mind freely as she did as a child.

Background || Angie Kujo was born into a fairly wealthy family, with a mother, father, and older brother. Her parents owned a large company, which produced many ceramic and pottery type items. She lived in Japan until she was 3, and then moved to America. Over the years, her family switched between living in Japan, America, and Taiwan. She was taught to fluently speak Japanese, English, and Mandarin. Every year she would switch countries due to her parents wanting to expand their business and check up on the factories in each country, which is where their largest offices and factories were. Business was very important to her parents, and she learned to respect this, even when it hurt her.

She experienced a lot of heartache due to the constant moving, never being able to stick with friends for more than a few years. She began to build up walls, admiring the strong, serious, and seemingly emotionless characters that she read about and saw in manga and anime. She grew habits that made her more alone and what she thought was 'cool' and 'strong'. Bullying was a constant pattern, and would occur for varieties of reasons. Many called her a rich brat and someone who should just be home schooled. She never was protected due to a lack of friends. She would hide away her feelings, trying harder and harder to become something unbreakable.

Two things that she always looked forward to was eating cotton candy and interacting with her older brother, Theodore. She had a very close relationship with him, and shared very similar interests. He was the person that kept her from fully breaking, and was her only friend.

Throughout the mess called her life, she always had a passion for dancing. Starting from when she was 5 she started taking dance classes at very expensive dance studios. She grew up dancing, even with her constant moving, and was able to learn many different styles of dance. Dancing was the one hobby that she believed that she was "mediocre" at, when she was actually really good. When she was 13 she got to a professional dance level, and performed in popular shows. Once she was invited to dance for a music video, and took the offer up and was featured. Despite this, no one every recognized her beside serious dancers.

Eventually, Theodore had to move to college and Angie had to go to high school. Her parents gave her a decision of where she wanted to go for her first year of high school. She chose Jiyuu no Seishun due to the fact that Theodore lived near there, and that it was a very high class school. After being accepted, her parents decided that she would spend all her high school years there, and that Theodore could live with them. They moved, and Angie finally felt some relief.
