So apparently some of my pics has found their way onto Ponibooru: [link]And, oddly enough, the biggest controversy about them wasn't the bondage, but the way I draw anthro ponies (human bodies and hands, but with pony heads and hooves).

Most of the times I've heard this claim are on pics with characters from really old cartoons too, which makes me think when I draw things like that: Obviously, I ruined my own childhood just now! Since after all, none of us ever had childhoods and yours super-cedes ours, clearly.
Even if we're talking about a modern cartoon like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic the absurdity of this is still present. Its impossible to go on the internet and not find something that offends you if you're looking to be offended.

As I said, one of the reasons, not the reason. I still like what I draw myself, and getting attention from it is a welcome bonus.
And yes, I do like attention. I like it very much. It let's me know that there's people out there that likes the same thing as me. It helps me develop the few skills I have through criticism. It let's me know that even when life seems shitty, some people out there appriciate what I do.
It's probably the same with all artists, to certain degrees, else we wouldn't do what we do (dance, paint, sing etc) and show it to other people.

That's like someone saying "Oh I use bases because people fave bases more than real work!" when it's utter bullshit. Course bases and actual traditional drawing don't coincide in this particular situation though seeing as one's lazy and the other's, well, repugnant and original.
