Have you seen Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino? There's a shot of a very similar perspective in the scene where Pacino drives a ferrari (his character is blind). Just wondering if it inspired this at all.

There's a great combination of tones in this piece of work; the red highlights pull the whole scene together. Great stuff, and certainly deserving of the attention that it has thus far garnered.
