Oh boy, telling people how they are made is almost as difficult as making them. I don't see myself EVER making a tutorial because there are already soooo many out there that it would be like reinventing the wheel.
I'm such a spazz I couldn't imagine my making a useful tutorial.

I buy these wings printed on silk and then I vein them and paint them and back them with irridescent film and seal them and I just love the colors. They are prints of real butterfly wings!

They do LOOK real. They look like if you touched the wings then you would get that dust off of them like you would from real butterflies.

i use poser 6 to make my faeries...
wish i had a hair model like yours to render onto my faeries, it seems faerie-listic,like what a faeries hair should look like.

The faces take me forever. I will sit for 10 hours straight or more working on faces. But the body just comes together. I put clay on the armature and the next thing I know it's time to bake.

LOL I used to be like that, make a doll in one sitting, but I just get overwhelmed by everything I have to remember to add to her for details.
And I take a long time one the face too, I keep forgetting the best way to do it and usually just try and wing it then I have to keep mushing it up or straitening things out... *sigh* I did sculpt a whole body without hands, feet and head last night tho, most work Ive done in a while!
I may not comment on your dolls much but I look at them all and they are all so awesome!
