Another gorgeous artwork Linda. Love the relaxed pose of the character, as she is looking into the pool; at her reflection. She certainly looks like she is in deep thought and daydreaming. I also like the added butterflies, which are encircling her.

Day dreaming indeed! More like Narcissus, Linda, with that reflection and we all know what happened to him. As usual, a very good construction and composition, and I especially like the muted palette highlighted by the bright butterflies. The pond itself with the girl at the side has a nice rhythm, taking the eye around.

I was worried the color palette might look too dark. But no matter how I fiddled with it trying to add more color I just couldn't make it work, it all seemed out of balance.
A bit different for me, but passable I think. Thanks again, David.

Palettes are one of the keys to good work.Photography has spoiled our eye with it full range colour renditions. Painters used a limited range of pigments - their colour palette, and mixed colours as they thought appropriate. Their range of hues was much more focussed than a photographic approach, and that range came to define the artist. Hence, when an artists "changed his/her palette" that was a very big thing.
