Usually the first of the mining bies to appear in Spring . Here in Norway we call it Vårsandbie (spring-sand-bee) . I found this one resting after snacking on the flowering Salix trees by the river . The three spots on top of its head are called ocelli . They are light-sensitive organs that give the bee an extra point of view .
