"How do you cope with a loss so terrible you could never have imagined it?"I was thinking of the time after the 2009 movie when Spock and Nyota need to draw comfort from each other to cope with their grief … this is the result.
This is my first venture in actual “digital paining”. It is heavily referenced but not a photomanipulation.

She is grieving for all the lives lost in the Battle of Vulcan. She may not have had the same losses as Spock but this was her first action, many friends were lost, the ship she should have been on was destroyed and she witnessed the death of a planet and all its inhabitants...she would have listened all the messages on the com and heard the desperation and panic. Yes. In Fanon its often called the Battle of Vulcan...silly really as there wasn't much of a battle.

Thanks...tender is what I was aiming for...I trying to show Spock as emotional but in a controlled Vulcan sort of way that is able to support Nyota when she needs it.

This is so sad, and beautiful. The layout is so well thought through and appropriate to the story. It is exactly the sort of thing that should be in a fan auction. Really well done, you both are very talented.
