Description
A little project of mine (yes, another) That I had the idea of doing with Kim at one point but decided it would be better as a standalone.Technically, that would be MY ship... and by that I mean a ship that I would either command or serve on were I in a Star Trek universe (When Star trek Online hits, you can BET I'm getting it)
Class - Steamrunner Light Cruiser refit
Name - U.S.S. Arcadia
Registry - NCC - 83276
Type X phaser arrays
Deflector Shields
Ablative Armor over critical components
4 "tube" rapid fire torpedo bays (2 fore 2 aft)
This is a 3d model ripped off of ST: Armada 2 with a custom skin upon which I added some extra detail (both the skin and mesh) I could have redone the complete mesh, but in the end, it would probably have been as polyreduced as this model.. it's the only thing I'm good at doing. Plus now I'm sure I have the correct proportions ^^

I just downloaded the game, but it's asking me to choose between 2 "account types". I can't seem to understand what the difference is between "Perfect World" and "Cryptic"...

I would have lost the bet. When Star trek online got released 2 years later my interests changed. While I still have a spot for 'ST:Arcadia' in my workplate, I couldnt get around to playing STO with everything else in my life.
However I did see some ships of similar design and I don't know if I could get something THAT close to a steamrunner.

Lol I got an arcadia also XD both on the klingon and fed sides thier it's a small world and arcadia is always cool..

As far as I can tell, there is not yet a USS Arcadia in service of SFI.
So... get 10 friends together, all sign up for SFI. You and one other (your XO) will have to take a couple courses from the Academy (that's free. it's just to show SFI that you two have read the manuals and know how a SFI ship is run.)

For me the type of vessel form that period I like, and it was under development at the same time, was the Akira class vessel I think it was called. Sleek but deadly. A warship and borg killer class, nothing more or less.

There should be another TNG/Voyager/DS9 era movie that focuses on the war with the Borg. If the Defiant was designed to fight the Borg just imagine how many other ships you could roll out.

Fantastic ! I miss the good ol' days of Trek before Enterprise started screwing with the time line. Forgive me, but you don't *do* that. Might've been because they had uninformed writers. I would love to see Peter David's New Frontier series as a television series, but it will never happen...

I can't wait to see what you develop. I have quite a few ST fanfics on my fanfiction.net website. I even did a version of Lupin the III that took place in space (a Cowboy Bebop inspired idea, along with hints of Angel Links and Outlaw Star). It's been a while since I actually looked at my scripts and fics, but I haven't written a descent Lupin fic in a while. Still to this day, my most beloved character *has* to be Dominique. She's a bit like me, except I am not a thief.
