oh bless it! One of the most misunderstood creatures of England, we should have it as our national animal! What is our national animal symbol?

According to Wikipedia for the UK it's: Lion (England), European Robin, Red Deer, Mute Swan, Red Fox, Unicorn (Scotland), Bulldog, Welsh Harlequin Duck (Wales), Red Kite (Wales)

We don't have any indiginous Lions...My old tabby looked like a smaller version & probably had the same temprament! The Robin, Yeah I can understand that, Red Deer for Scotland? Red Squirrell For England too as well as Scotland, there are a few left who haven't been wiped out by the American Grey. Red Fox...Again understandable, as long as its the rural one & not the urban, as that one looks a bit shabby to say the least, living as it does on Human waste! Unicorn, just like Scotland, Fable & Myths run their lives! Harlequin Duck for wales...Hmmmm & the Red Red Kite, there's more in England now than in Wales, there's been breeding pairs introduced along the M3 corridor going East past Windsor & along the A1 going North past us...As we see them on a regular basis.
Thanks for looking though, I really didn't expect that.

Haha, yeah well I don't really get why some of the animals were picked either but there we go... and no worries, I felt that I should look it up after you provoking the question.
