this is me practicing portraits. cuz i suck at em.im terrible at getting the features in the correct places etc
i did it during the summer holidays so it was a while ago now. i should really start practicing again
well i like the colours in this one, the hair isnt that good because i was going to paint over it, but i never got round to it *lazy*
o well... ooh, this was one of my first attempts at using oils btw.
i used a reference pic, but as usual it didnt look anything like it by the end

i think that you're great at doing portraits, from what i see in this one... her hair is fantastic, and the dimensions of her face are perfectly done... i like that you strayed from making it look too realistic... i like to see what people do with portraits without making them photo-realistic... sometimes that takes all of the fun away!

The nose looks a little too big, however the hair is really cool, my gf doesent paint with oils she cant wait that long. So i understand you plight
