Thanks for your comment. I usually paint scenes from an imaginary country and I picture these as barns and sheds rather than the house itself, so that might explain why it's not typical.

Thanks. Unlike watercolors I used to do, where the white of the paper behind the paint brings light into the painting all by itself, I have to put the light in myself with this type of painting and do so where ever I can, usually by making things a bit misty in the distance.

I love it!!Those fly away,dashy strokes are so lively ...and I think exciting!!Especially when the buildings look so solid!!!The snow looks wonderful!

Thanks again. The challenge is to make the buildings look like buildings, but not out of place compared to the sketchy style of the trees and such, basically I just can't try very hard...which I'm pretty adept at.
