Description This picture is - despite of what you might think - full of symbols and meaningful subjects.

The girl hid from the world and slowly but steadily built up a wall to protect her from anything that might distract, harm or affect her, may it be hatred and pain but also friendship and love. She realized she was lonely hence the sad face she has but like that she was able to focus on work and thus got a lot of money symbolized by the necklace and the diadem.

But still she realised her loneliness and decided to change this, symbolized by the cracks in the wall. But after the long time that has pased (I wanted to show the flow of time by the water pouring out of the goblet I hope it was okay I'm not sure anymore ) breaking down the wall around her is hard to do. She got too much used to living alone and her own feelings as well as the reaction of others towards this "hermit" push her back and make her way back to the rest of the world hard. This pushing is symbolized by the water breaking throught he cracks of the wall.

Also bad "ghosts" try to prevent her from beeing not alone, let's see who's gonna find the little ghost

Finally the light of the candles symbolize her hope to achieve getting back to society and be socially accepted once again and hopefully never get back to loneliness.

Vielen vielen Dank!
