Bio

Daniel (Also called simply Dan or Deej) was born an only child in the city of Slateport. He grew up there, eventually moving to Littleroot town after getting a job as a researcher for Professor Birch. Daniel grew up surrounded Pokémon, and yet had never actually owned one for himself. Many times Birch had offered him a starter, but he always replied with "none of them are really for me."

It wasn't until he was out researching with his co-worker Sophia that he got his first Pokémon, Meri. They had been 'attacked' by the small bird while out in route 103 and Sophia had taken it on with her Mudkip Marlin. Before the bird fainted however, Daniel threw a pokeball and caught it (Much to Sophia's surprise ) After that, he slowly battled his way through Hoenn's gyms by visiting them whenever he had the time.

He Joined Team Aqua a couple of years ago, being good friends with Archie from his visits to Slateport throughout his childhood. When he was approached with the proposition of becoming a researcher for them, he accepted, despite the groups notoriously shady doings. After joining, he was asked to visit Isshu and record details about the area, where he finished catching the rest of his team.

The Team

Meri: Being Daniels first Pokémon, him and Meri are extremely close. The small bird is rather silly at times, always flying around Daniel, doing loops here and there. He's a cheerful thing and is often very distracted by any number of things. Despite this, Meri is the most serious battler. His lack of power is made up for his quick thinking and tactics, as well as complete obedience. (To Daniel anyway xD)

Zant: Zant's never really been the positive type, mainly due to the fact that so many people dislike Zuabats. He's very quiet and careful, and he doesn't tend to stray too far from Daniel. His fur is slightly longer compared to other Zubats and although he may protest, he really likes hugs.

Nat: Nat is... odd to say the least. Rather that snoozing constantly, he hardly ever sleeps. Instead, he bounces around and teleports randomly pretty much all day every day. And 50% of the time he'll teleport while in a battle rather than doing what he was told to do. He's also pretty speedy and loves to clamber up onto Daniels backpack whenever he can.

Knepth: The best word to describe Knepth would be serious. Sure, he doesn't mind fun - as long as it's the right time and place for it. Knepth has a love of reading, in particular poetry or other such books. He adores literature and will educate someone about it at first chance. However, he doesn't get on particularly well with Nat, and will periodically trap the Abra inside him (resulting in Nat teleporting out and Knepth having to capture him again)

Column: Column is the mother of the team. Sturdy and considerate, she takes things slowly and always thinks things through. Whenever she can, Column will go to the sea. She loves the coral reefs and finds the bottom of the ocean the best place to relax. She also loves has a soft spot for Meri and is seen with him quite often.

Diana Although Diana is said to be snooty and extravagant, she's a keen fighter and loves to show how a 'Real' lady can fight. Her attacks and movements are usually precisely choreographed into and elegant show, and she is typically flamboyant in all that she does. Even so, she finds Zant utterly adorable (If only for his quiet, polite manner) and always sticks up for him (along with ambushing him for a hug now and then)

Extra notes

- Daniel's fighting style is very tactical and he always has a plan or two. This is because Meri, Zant and Nat aren't the most powerful/robust Pokémon and thus he needs to fight with brains and not brawn to make up for it.
- Daniel is a Researcher for aqua. He won’t be stealing your items/Pokémon or trying to awaken Kyogre, He's here to research the Islands (and battle of course ;D)
- If you hurt Meri, Column WILL get you D<
- Diana has had that pearl necklace on ever since Daniel caught her as a Bachuru, she never takes it off.
- Knepth doesn't spook people/do normal ghostly tricks, he finds that sort of thing ridiculous.
- That Skarmory shadow in the sky? His name's Volle. He was given to daniel by team aqua as a mode of transport so he can easily (and quickly) speak to someone in person/relay information/get back to base. He doesn't battle with Volle because although he's a great fighter he gets.... carried away and wont stop fighting until there are no more Pokémon left to fight :I
