Well, here's to Inktober.

Instead of spending a day on a picture, I just went a little crazy and decided to draw this massive thing and work on a little bit everyday. (Which, for me and my nutty work schedule, is pretty good!)

I'm here again trying to do a detailed piece, this time practicing plants and lighting. I'm still not 100% pleased with my lighting here, since I know things are off, but I'm overall happy with this piece and like the mood I captured? (Or was trying to capture!)

Hawthorn has always been one for enjoying nature, and his garden is a clear indication that his effort pay off. The world he'd from is one where humanity has been cursed by nature, and humans now grow flowers and plants from their bodies, hence his flowers. He is for a new group that I haven't even been accepted to, but HEY I still wanted to draw him and all the pretty plants.

I used many references for the various plants! Praise Google. Also thank you to :devalwaysdaydreams for Vegetation Brushes for Photoshop . This is my first time really working with these kind of brushes, but I had a lot of fun!
