The thing about the Dreamers is that information regarding them is obscure to a point where you are free to give them pretty much whatever personalities you wantLurien could have been calm and strict, or quiet and shy, or a wacky nerd, etc, etc
The Dreamers could have been lifelong friends, or they could have just been this awkward group that only met one another because Pale King called them forth

Pretty much the only thing we know about Lurien is that he was loyal to the king and trusted him enough to want the seals to remain even after it became apparent that the vessel had faid to contain the infection...
I think that Monomon and Lurien probably already knew eachother, because the lore tablets in the archives talk about the egg being built.
She might have helped the king to figure out how to seal the Radiance.
The only odd dreamer is Herrah. I mean she doesn't seem to really care about anything other than Hornet...
So yeah, they could have been anything
