Okay who gave you my middle school photo?Β
But seriously, he looks really good here! I love the aesthetic you're going for with him.

My gothic phase and I mean the Victorian goth kind of vibe. I dressed similar to a priest (white shirt with a collar) because we couldn't afford all the fancy clothing

I remember that year too I got my first phone, and the first thing I ever looked up was my favorite harry potter characters, Snape and Greyback.

Ooh, Greyback is one of your favorites? May I ask why?

Aside from his brutish character (I like characters who are evil, really gives you someone to hate without feeling bad about it) and it also gives into insight on how werewolves are treated, and makes a great contrast to Lupin.Β
We see how Lupid has been treated because of being a werewolf, and then we get to see Greyback, aka the type of werewolf the Wizarding society is basing the other ones off of because he's one of the real problems, and since werewolves are dangerous without the Wolfsbane potion (In fact according to Lupin it hadn't been invented when he was a teenager, so that means its really recent) of course people are going to hate and fear them.Β
Greyback enjoys spreading this kind of fear, and even though Voldemort and the rest of the Death Eaters are shitty people, it also shows how Greyback still favors them because they could have been the only people to treat him with any decency.Β

That's an interesting insight! I've never thought of it that way.

Thanks! Β I also had this notebook where I'd write little fanfics too, considering that since he's allowed at Lucius' home, that maybe they've known each other for a long time because of their boss.Β
I had a lot of funny nonserious ones, like when Greyback was tasked with babysitting Draco and the poor kid was terrified of him. Also one where Draco was eight and Greyback was in werewolf form (under the Wolfsbane potion of course) and Draco wanted to keep him as a pet.Β
Also, one where Greyback was in human form and was sprayed in the face with water because 'dogs don't belong on the couch'.Β

Also one where Voldemort caught Greyback scratching himself and ordered Lucius and some other guy to give Greyback a flea bath.Β
He's basically the team mascot.Β
I've been meaning to draw Greyback too; I'm not a big fan of his movie design, but I guess its because I had a set idea in my heada on how he looked. (Just like I had with Snape, except his movie design is still neat)Β

What do you think he should look like?
I couldn't really imagine his face with the book's description, although when I watched the movies I felt like it wasn't what I thought he'd look like. Sometimes I'd give up and just draw him with a wolf head.

PFFT I want to see that drawing!!Β
I figured that since he's older than Lupin and has clearly been in a few fights (plus turning into a werewolf has to be pretty painful) he'd be pretty scarred up, especially in the face. Β Maybe a little tanned and leathery too. Β Also, a heavy browbone and a squashed nose, you know, the kind that look like they've been broken, and definitely with a scruff or a little bit of a beard going.Β
As for hair hair, it'd be grey (not in the white grey, but actually grey) and really tangled up if he lets it grow out, if not, cut short. Also, he could have a slight overbite or very sharp eyeteeth.Β
He's described as unclean in the books, so top that with him looking a little ragged. Since obviously Lupin is not well kept, I'd figure Greyback would be a little on the thin side from malnourished

Hmm.... I'm imagining someone who looks like the Dwarves from the LOTR movies, except with a lot less beard.
Also, I would show you that drawing if it weren't for the fact that I'd have to search through the horror of my 2012 sketchbook, so have this recreation instead XD

I bet that's a little frustrating for him sometimes if he's under the Wolfsbane potion and has to go on a mission.Β
"Remember, its the man in the red cloak!"
"That would be easy-IF I WASN'T COLORBLIND!"Β

Death Eaters have to be very specific if they want him to attack someone or get something.

Kind of makes me wonder if there are other Death Eater werewolves? I mean they're not official considering 'half breeds' aren't allowed the mark.Β

I think they did mention using Fenrir as a sort of messenger to recruit werewolves to their cause... It's been a while since I read the books.
